Questions Surround ‘Disaster’ Signs Up Around Lexington

Some people are asking about the purpose and the placement of mobile signs around Lexington that ask, ‘Are You Ready For A Disaster?’

Some of them are near Commonwealth Stadium on the University of Kentucky campus in Lexington, which prompted some people to wonder if it was a message about U-K Football, good or bad.

"Well, when I first saw it, I figured we were gonna cream Western Kentucky tomorrow, and that would be a disaster.  And, if it’s the other way around, it would definitely be a disaster," said one Solid Blue fan.

Another person we talked to said he saw one of the signs in front of a church, so he figured it was a thought provoking religious question.

Finally, a third person we spoke to said the signs were probably to get people thinking if they were ready for a natural disaster like a tornado or earthquake.

That last answer was the closest to being correct.
