Pulaski County man pleads guilty to killing father and uncle, sentencing set for April

PULASKI COUNTY, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – A Pulaski County man has pleaded guilty to two counts of murder in connection with a 2024 double homicide.

According to the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office, Brandon A. Mullins, 28, entered the guilty plea during a court appearance in Pulaski Circuit Court on March 18.

Authorities say Mullins pleaded guilty to the murders of his father, Dennis Mullins, and his uncle, Anthony Mullins.

Investigators say the killings happened around May 24, 2024, in the Eubank area of Pulaski County. The following day, both victims were found dead inside a home with gunshot wounds.

Sheriff Bobby Jones said he contacted the department’s Criminal Investigation Division, which launched an investigation led by Detective Jay Picard.

Officials say Picard gathered evidence that led to an arrest warrant for Mullins, who was taken into custody on May 26, 2024.

The case was later presented to a Pulaski County grand jury, which returned an indictment on two counts of murder and one count of tampering with physical evidence.

Mullins remains in custody and is scheduled to be formally sentenced on April 6 in Pulaski Circuit Court.

Sheriff Jones praised deputies and detectives for their work on the case, as well as Commonwealth’s Attorney David Dalton and the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office for their assistance.
