Pulaski Co. falls 35-7 in 5A state title game

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) – Owensboro defeated Pulaski County 35-7 in the Class 5A State Championship on Saturday night, securing the Red Devils’ first 5A state title and their first state championship since 1986. Running back Evan Hampton powered the offense with three touchdowns.

Owensboro struck first on the scoreboard, but Pulaski County answered later in the opening quarter when Kasen Brock punched in a three-yard touchdown run. From there, the Red Devils seized control, reeling off 28 unanswered points to close out the victory.
