KENTUCKY (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – Voters across Kentucky are heading to the polls to cast their ballots in the state’s primary election.

Polls opened at 6 a.m. and will close at 6 p.m. this evening.

In Fayette County, voters have the option to vote at any Lexington Public Library location or at their designated precinct.

Key races on the ballot include the race for the Sixth Congressional District, four state House seats, and three Urban County Council seats.

Election officials remind voters to bring a valid ID to the polls.
