Previously convicted felons arrested on drug trafficking charges

GARRARD COUNTY, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) – Two convicted felons are behind bars after a police chase that stretched across multiple counties Monday morning.

According to the Garrard County Sheriff’s Office, 40-year-old Andrea Coomer and 52-year-old James Bixler were arrested following a pursuit that began in Jessamine County, continued through Garrard County, and ended in Boyle County near Wells Landing Road.

Deputies said they found a large amount of meth and heroin inside the suspects’ car. Investigators noted Bixler has 19 prior felony convictions and is currently on parole. Coomer has seven previous felony convictions.
