Pregnant passenger left behind after crash

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Police want to track down the driver who slammed a car into a tree in Lexington, leaving a pregnant passenger behind.

It happened just before midnight. Police say an officer spotted a car believed to be involved in a disorder earlier in the evening.

When the officer tried to stop the driver, he took off. Police say there was no chase but the officer found the car a short time later, crashed into the tree on Eureka Springs Drive.

The driver was gone.

A pregnant woman who was with him was taken to the hospital as a precaution. Police say she is not being cooperative.
