Pregnant Inmate Escapes For Second Time In A Week
A pregnant Fayette County Detention Center inmate has escaped during a doctor’s appointment for the second time in a week.
Lexington Police said on September 16th, Marler failed to return to jail following a court-ordered medical pass. She was recaptured two days later in Lexington.
One week later, September 23rd, Marler escaped through the ceiling of the Polk- Dalton Clinic on Elm Tree Lane wearing only a t-shirt and towel, according to the Fayette County Detention Center.
The jail said Marler was initially jailed on a felony and misdemeanor charge of Receiving Stolen Property. A second Escape charge will be added to her criminal record.
