Powell County Arson Investigation

Powell County Arson Investigators said a Saturday morning house fire wasn’t an accident.

Firefighters said a two-story house at the corner of Strode Road and East College Avenue in Stanton caught fire around 5:15 a.m.

Investigators are calling it arson.

According to the property owner, the home was empty.

Firefighters said the house was burned to the ground.
