Possible deadly animal attack investigation in Letcher County
LETCHER COUNTY, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – The Kentucky State Police is currently investigating a tragic incident involving a possible deadly animal attack in the Jeremiah community of Letcher County in southeastern Kentucky.
According to authorities, the body of 57-year-old Trina Sandlin was discovered by family members on Sunday near her residence on Doty Creek. Ms. Sandlin had reportedly left her home to visit a neighbor’s house but did not return.
Upon locating Ms. Sandlin, family members observed injuries on her body consistent with those typically caused by an animal attack. The precise nature of the animal involved in the incident is still under investigation by state police.
