“Positively Unbreakable”- AVOL
AVOL collaborates with communities to stop the spread of HIV/AIDS and to empower those affected.
AVOL provides housing and supportive services to over 400 low-income men and women living with HIV/AIDS in over 70 counties in central and eastern Kentucky. AVOL operates two housing facilities: Solomon House, a long-term permanent community residence for people with AIDS, and Rainbow Apartments, a small complex of furnished units for people living with HIV/AIDS, who are transitioning from homelessness to permanent housing.
AVOL provides free HIV testing as well as HIV prevention education and outreach to those at-risk in our communities including Lexington-Fayette County and targeted areas in eastern Kentucky.
World AIDS Day (December 1st) – AVOL is partnering with Lisa M. Brown productions and the Lyric Theatre for a 3 day run of “Positively Unbreakable”.
Dates for the show are December 1st at 7 p.m., December 2nd at 7 p.m., and December 3rd at 2 p.m.
