Portion of KY 1556 in Harlan County to close for slide repairs

MANCHESTER, Ky. (WTVQ) – Drivers should be aware of slide repair operations beginning July 19 from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. on a section of KY 1556 in Harlan County.

The road work will run from mile points 0.18-0.22, also known as Bobs Creek, and should end Friday, July 30 at 6 p.m. Starting Tuesday, July 20, the road will be closed from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day.

Traffic will be released intermittently during work hours.

When traveling through the area, be aware of the work zone, expect delays and use safe driving habits.

Inclement weather or unforeseen delays could adjust the date, time and duration of the road work. Motorists can access travel and traffic conditions at http://goky.ky.gov or contribute their reports at www.waze.com or via the Waze mobile application.
