Popular goat yoga craze makes its way to the Bluegrass

RICHMOND, Ky. (WTVQ)- A wildly popular craze has now made its way to the Bluegrass, yoga with goats.

Saturday in Richmond, the Blue Heron Bed and Breakfast hosted a class. About 30 people showed up to stretch and strengthen alongside baby goats.

“I’m not an animal lover, but lots of people are so I am into spreading joy and this seems to bring people joy so let’s do it,” Cindy Reed, the instructor, said.

“There’s a peacefulness, I think, for me, around animals and it allows you to just really appreciate even doing something as simple as breathing in and breathing out,” Kate Spencer, a participant, said.

All the proceeds from the class will benefit Heifer International, a global non-profit working to end hunger by giving animals to those in need.
