Police: Woman Shot In Head In Lexington Expected To Live
Police are investigating an early morning shooting that sent one woman to the hospital in serious condition.
Officers got to the home on Ash Street around 3:15, Lexington Police officials said.
When officers arrived, they found bullet casings in the street and a woman who had been shot in the head inside one of the homes.
According to police, the bullet that hit her came from outside.
Police officials wouldn’t say exactly how many shots were fired, but ABC 36 crews were able to count at least eight casings in the street.
The victim was transported to UK Hospital in serious condition, police said. She is expected to recover from her injuries.
