Police: Woman Burglarizes Home, Then Turns Herself In
Lexington Police said a woman wanted to come clean to a burglary she allegedly committed early Tuesday morning.
According to officers, 28-year-old Crystal Wofford called them just after midnight and told them she had broken into a home on Woodchuck Way.
Police were sent to her residence, where they said she gave them $1,900 in cash and between $2,000 to $3,000 worth of stolen jewelry.
Wofford was charged with second-degree burglary and possession of a controlled substance.
Officials said another suspect was also involved, but no further information was given.
