Police: Wanted man, unhappy with mugshot, offers selfie
LIMA, Ohio (AP) – Police in western Ohio say a man with an arrest warrant sent them a selfie saying he didn’t like the mugshots they were using.
Authorities say the gesture followed the Lima police department’s Facebook posting of information about Donald ‘Chip’ Pugh, who’s wanted for failing to appear in court. Police say the 45-year-old Pugh is also a person of interest in several other cases, including arson and vandalism.
Pugh sent police a picture of himself in a sport coat and wearing sunglasses along with a message stating, “Here is a better photo that one is terrible.”
Police thanked him and said they want to speak with him.
The Lima News reports that Pugh also criticized the photos on a radio show last week.
