UPDATE: Arrest made. Police: Victim with life-threatening injuries after Lexington shooting

UPDATE – 08/20/24: One person has been arrested in connection with a shooting that occurred on Glen Arvin Avenue.

Utilizing the Real-Time Intelligence Center, Flock license plate readers, and FUSUS, officers were able to identify the suspect as Javonte Briscoe, 32. Briscoe was arrested on August 20, 2024, and charged with Assault 1st Degree, Convicted Felon in Possession of a Handgun, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of a Controlled Substance. He is currently being held at the Fayette County Detention Center.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – A man suffered life-threatening injuries earlier Thursday after being shot near Glen Arvin Avenue and Georgetown Street in Lexington.

Lexington police tell ABC36 News Now they are still looking for the suspect. Police say the call came in about 9:30 this morning.
