Police Use Taser During Arrest

Police say they were forced to use a Taser on a man after a disorder in Lexington late Thursday night.

It happened just after 11 p.m. on the 200-block of North Broadway.

Police say a man called them, saying his highly-intoxicated brother refused to leave his home.

Police say as they were escorting 59-year-old Charles Mason outside, he became belligerent and argumentative and was resisting officers as they tried to arrest him.

They say that’s when they used the Taser on him.

Mason is in jail, charged with disorderly conduct, alcohol intoxication and resisting arrest.
