Police trying to locate suspects in organized shoplifting case

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Lexington Police Department is asking for help in identifying a group of people who they say coordinated the theft of hundreds of dollars in merchandise from a local store.

Police say the five suspects were caught on camera stealing from Vengeance in Fayette Mall back on October 23.

Surveillance video shows a group of two women and three men concealed several pairs of pants in what appeared to be other shopping bags.

Police say when a mall employee confronted one of the men in the mall parking lot, he pulled a handgun out.

The suspect then took off in a car with an out-of-state license plate.
