Police: Teenager sentenced to 25 years for killing grandparents

STANFORD, Ky (WTVQ) – Kentucky teenager sentenced to 25 years in prison for the murder of her grandparents.

A fire broke out in November of 2013, with 60-year-old Linda Garland and her husband, 64-year-old Everett Garland still inside. Reportedly, the couple had custody of Allison Deshae Wilson at the time of the fire.

Investigators report the fire was intentionally set.

Wilson pled guilty to two counts of murder in the Lincoln County Circuit Court, adding that she was also mentally ill, officials say.

While police say she was originally charged with arson, her guilty plea on April 7 only included the murder charges.
