Police: Suspect wanted for murder

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A suspect has been identified in the fatal shooting of a Lexington man, according to police.

Investigators say Jermaine D. Yates shot and killed Kerry D. Kenney back on July 1.

Kenney was found dead in a vehicle on Short Street.

Police have issued a murder warrant for Yates.

Anyone with knowledge of Yates’ whereabouts is asked to contact police.
