Police: Suspect fatally shot by law enforcement officer

LEITCHFIELD, Ky. (AP) – Kentucky State Police are investigating the death of a suspect shot by a central Kentucky sheriff’s department employee who was responding to a domestic disturbance.

Police said in a news release Wednesday that two units from the Grayson County Sheriff’s Department responded to a residence around 2 p.m. EST.

The release said a male suspect with a firearm advanced on the law officers, and one of them fired multiple times, hitting the suspect, who died.

The investigation was continuing, and no names or additional details have been released.
