Police: Son Forced To Watch Mother’s Assault
Lexington police arrested a man they said dragged, bit and tried to strangle his wife.
Ronald Daughtery, 39, was charged with assault and wanton endangerment for the incident on July 31.
The arrest citation said Daughtery hit his wife in the face with a belt buckle, bit her ear, dragged her by her hair and smeared buttered toast on her face.
Police said at one point, Daughtery went into the kitchen, came back with a container of salt and poured it into his wife’s wounds.
According to court documents, Daughtery was also charged with unlawful imprisonment because he wouldn’t let his wife, his 15-year-old son or his son’s girlfriend leave the home.
