Police searching for well-known journalist in Kentucky

PADUCAH, Ky. (WTVQ) – A well-known California journalist is missing. Police think he’s in Kentucky.

The East Bay Times reports radio broadcaster Ray Taliaferro was last seen November 10 at the Mellow Mushroom in Paducah.

According to the paper, he was visiting Paducah, though he lives in San Francisco.

Paducah Police’s missing-person flier says Taliaferro could be experiencing disorientation and signs of dementia.

The paper reports the 79-year-old was the country’s first African American talk-show host for a major market radio station.
