Police search for suspect after woman robbed at knifepoint

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) — Police are looking for a suspect after they say a woman was robbed at knifepoint on Tates Creek Centre Drive on Sunday night.

They say it happened around 9 p.m. Sunday, when a man approached a woman on Tates Creek Centre Drive with a knife.

According to police, there was a struggle for the woman’s purse and the suspect was eventually able to take it.

Police say the woman was injured during the struggle and taken to the hospital, but there is no update on her condition at this time.
