Search on for man considered dangerous and possibly armed

WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. (WTVQ)- A search is underway for a man Williamsburg Police say is armed and dangerous.

Police say on Monday, Samuel Plotnick entered into a home off Second Street in Williamsburg.

They say he stole a gun from the home, held it against someone’s head and then threatened to kill others.

Williamsburg Police say they stopped a vehicle that matched the description of the one he fled in.

Officers say Plotnick resisted arrest and could not be controlled by a taser.

He was able to get away on foot, according to detectives.

Police say the stolen handgun was found in the vehicle, but Plotnick is still considered dangerous and may be armed.

Anyone with information of Plotnick’s whereabouts should call Whitley County E911 at (606) 549-6017.

Officials say Plotnick is known to frequent areas along Hwy 92 East.
