Police search for suspect in early morning hit-and-run
LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – Lexington police are searching for a suspect after an early morning hit-and-run collision that sent one person to the hospital.
According to police, the crash happened just before 3 a.m. Monday near the intersection of Versailles Road and Village Drive, shutting down the area for about an hour.
Officers said they found the suspect’s vehicle nearby, but the driver had fled the scene. The search for that person is still underway.
Police said the driver of the vehicle that was hit was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The investigation remains ongoing.
