Police search for suspect after stolen property recovered

LONDON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Sheriff in Laurel Co. says that deputies are searching for a man they say stole $2,000 dollars worth of tools from a construction site, among other items.

The Sheriff says a security guard found the tools in a thicket on KY 80, west of London on Sunday. When deputies arrived on the scene, they were able to verify the tools had been taken from a construction site off of US 25 North. Deputies also found a Suzuki four-wheeler that had been spray painted black. They say that vehicle had been stolen off White Oak Road about 5 weeks ago. All items will be taken to their original owners.

The suspect in the thefts, Curtis Brandon Brewer, was reportedly seen driving the four-wheeler, according to the Sheriff. He is asking anyone who knows the whereabouts of Brewer to call the Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies say they saw Brewer driving this 4-wheeler.

Brewer is described as standing 5’9” and weighing 150 pounds. Brewer is also wanted on a Kentucky parole violation, as well as a Laurel Co. warrant for theft by unlawful taking and a Knox Co. warrant for receiving stolen property.
