Police on the scene of a serious accident in Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A Lexington road is closed following what police are calling a serious accident.

Lexington police say the crash happened between Kearney Road and Berea Road shortly after 12 p.m. Monday.

The wreck involved a semi-truck and a passenger car, according to the Lexington Traffic Management Center.

Lexington police are shut down inbound lanes of Georgetown Road at Iron Works Pike.
