Police: One In Critical Condition After Shooting
A man was critically injured during a shooting in Shelby county Monday night.
Shelbyville police said the shooting happened in the 100 block of Martin Luther King Junior Boulevard just before 10 p.m.
According to officers, the victim was sitting on the front porch of a home in the block when two suspects approached him and fired shots.
Police tell ABC 36 News they believe either the victim or another person in the house shot back and may have struck one of the suspects.
Officers said they searched the area for the suspects but were unable to track them down.
The victim was taken to University of Louisville hospital in critical condition, police said.
Kentucky State Police also responded to assist Shelbyville officers.
