Police: Man impersonated officer to get into home
WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. (WTVQ) – A man police say forced his way into a Richmond home by impersonating an officer is behind bars in Williamsburg.
Richmond Police say 29-year-old Donnie Carr went to the home on North Keeneland Drive on Friday and knocked on the door, telling the people inside he was a police officer and they needed to open the door.
Police say when the man opened the door, Carr forced his way in and assaulted him.
A woman and her children were also in the home but go out, according to police.
Carr was arrested around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday in Williamsburg and charged with impersonating an officer and burglary.
Richmond Police say Carr and the victims knew each other.
