Police: Man Could Have “Crucial Information” About Shooting

Lexington police are looking for a man they said could have information about Sunday night’s deadly bowling alley shooting.

It happened just before midnight at the Eastland Bowling Lanes on New Circle Road.

Police said five people were taken to the hospital with gunshot wounds.

The Fayette County Coroner said Steven Reynolds, 22, later died from his injuries.

Police are now looking for a man seen in surveillance video. They said he is not a suspect, but was there during the incident and might have “crucial information” about the shooting.

Police said there were hundreds of other potential witnesses that were at the bowling alley for a new event called “Soul Bowl.”

“They had a couple DJ’s in here… and it’s a different environment than we’ve ever had in the past,” said Eastland Bowling president Danny Collins.

“We won’t be hosting it anymore.”

Eastland Bowling was closed Monday. Collins said he expects it will reopen Tuesday afternoon.
