Police: Man breaks in, passes out in home

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – An unusual break-in at a Lexington home.

Police were called to a house on East Fourth Street Saturday morning by the homeowner, who says he found a man asleep inside.

According to police, 28-year-old Deaudre Edwards broke a window, climbed in and went through a bedroom that was occupied by a six-year-old and a five-month-old.

Edwards then fell onto the floor, partially in the bedroom and partially in the hallway, and passed out, according to police.

Court documents say Edwards told police he didn’t know anyone in the home.

He is charged with burglary and parole violation.
