POLICE: Man arrested, assaults woman

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A man is facing multiple charges after Lexington Police say he held a woman he was close to against her will, and physically assaulted her in a bathroom.

Police say they arrested 29-year-old Jeffery Clark Jr.

According to Lexington Police, the incident stems from January 20th through the 23rd, when Clark held the woman against her will on Gerald Drive.

They say Clark pointed a gun at her head threatening to kill her when she tried to break up with him.

Police say Clark strangled the woman multiple times and slammed her head into a bathroom wall when she tried to leave.

They say he raped her while he was holding her against her will.

According to court documents, the woman suffered serious physical injuries from the assaults.

Clark is facing seven charges and will appear in court today.
