Police: Man Apparently Drowned In Rowan County

Kentucky State Police say the body of a man reported missing has been found in Rowan County.

Police say Michael F. Padula, 53, of Morehead went fishing in the North Fork of Triplett Creek near the Cranston community Saturday, and had not returned home.

Padula’s vehicle and dog were later found off Old Sportsman Road near a local fishing access; after a search, Padula’s body was found early Sunday morning by a Rowan County search and rescue team.

Police say Padula appeared to have been fishing and accidentally drowned. The incident remains under investigation.
