Police: Madison County student had gun in car at school
MADISON COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – Police in Madison County have charged a student they say had a stolen gun in a car on school grounds.
Richmond Police say a school resource officer, along with school officials, were investigating possible drug use at Madison Central High School on Monday afternoon when they discovered an unloaded handgun in the trunk of a car.
They found out the handgun had been reported stolen.
Police say the gun was unloaded.
Police say a student at the school was later charged with receiving a stolen handgun and possession of a weapon on school property.
