Police looking for missing Lexington man

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Lexington Police are looking for a man they say walked away from his Cricklewood Court home around 8:30 a.m. Friday and hasn’t been seen since.

Police identified the missing man as 75-year old Joseph Campbell.  He’s described as being 6-feet tall and approximately 180-pounds.  He has gray hair.  He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt and gym shorts.  His family told police that he may have trouble finding his way home.

Friday evening, someone identifying themselves as a family member, called the ABC 36 newsroom to say Campbell had been found and was safe.  When ABC 36 News notified Lexington Police of the phone call and claim, they told us they had no knowledge of Campbell being found and as a result, would not confirm the caller’s claim.  Police said Campbell was still listed as a missing person.
