Police looking for inmate who never returns from work release

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Lexington-Fayette County jail says an inmate never came back Friday from work release. The jail says it let 49-year-old Gregory Mitchell out around 6:15 Friday morning for court ordered work release.

He was scheduled to come back at 5:30 PM, but didn’t.

According to the jail, Mitchell was in jail for possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and tampering with physical evidence charges.
