Police look for “Lockout Bandits”
WILLIAMSTOWN, Oh. (WTVQ/CNN) – A couple of armed robbers in northern Kentucky aren’t having the best of luck.
That’s because police say they keep getting “locked out” by store clerks.
Police believe this has happened twice now to the men they are calling the “lockout bandits.”
Officers say a clerk spotted them Saturday while he was outside, so he went back in and locked up the store.
The thieves can be seen on surveillance video at the door, wearing disguises and carrying a gun.
They took off running when they couldn’t get in.
Police say the two likely tried to rob another store last month but came up against the same problem: a quick clerk who locked them out.
