Police look for driver after truck crashes through windows into building

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — The Lexington Fire Department is investigating an incident where a truck drove through a business early Friday morning.

Crews responded to a call just after 8 a.m. about a vehicle that had crashed into a structure in the 1600 block of Bryan Station Road. Upon arrival, they discovered that a truck had gone through a window of the HealthFirst Bluegrass building. The driver had already left the scene by the time emergency responders arrived. Police continue to try to locate that driver.

Investigators found tire tracks leading from the White Castle parking lot next door to the site of the crash. According to police, witnesses had seen the truck inside the building hours before the incident was reported but did not notify authorities at the time.

Fire crews assessed the building and determined that there was no structural damage. Fortunately, no one was inside the building when the incident occurred.
