Police: Lexington’s 7th homicide of 2016 “not a random act”
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- Lexington Police say at least some parties involved in an overnight shooting that killed a man knew each other.
Officers say the shooting happened around 2:15 a.m. on Woodland Avenue near the campus of the University of Kentucky. They say 28-year-old Jame Nathaniel Gordon was killed and an 18-year-old was shot in the shoulder. That victim is expected to be okay.
Officers are still looking for the shooter but reiterate the shooting isn’t random.
