Police: Junction City suspect hid in bathroom of unlocked house

JUNCTION CITY, Ky. (WTVQ) -Junction City Police say a homeowner found an unpleasant surprise in their bathroom after a suspect in a domestic violence dispute decided to hide from investigators there.

Officers say around 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, they received a call about a domestic dispute on 126 Lausman Avenue.  When they arrived, they say Dustin C. Thomas ran off on foot.  Officers say they chased Thomas on Shearin Avenue, where they were joined by Boyle Co. deputies.

According to investigators, Thomas then found an unlocked door at a home on Shearin Avenue, and hid in the bathroom.  Officers say the homeowner discovered Thomas, and alerted law enforcement who were in her yard.  Thomas then ran from the house back towards Lausman Avenue, but was quickly apprehended by investigators and a K-9 unit.

Thomas was taken to the Boyle Co. Detention Center and charged with burglary, fleeing and evading, and resisting arrest, along with several outstanding warrants.
