UPDATE: Man charged in triple shooting in Winchester

28-year old Zachary Rankin-Lyle faces assault and wanton endangerment charges

Update from 10:50 p.m., March 25, 2022:

WINCHESTER, Ky. (WTVQ) – A man has been arrested and charged in connection to a triple shooting in Winchester on Friday, according to Winchester Police.

Investigators say just before 3:30 p.m., police found a black Cadillac near Main Street with three people inside, all with gunshot wounds.  The car itself had bullet holes, according to police.

Police say the shooting happened several blocks away near Ashland Avenue.  Police say the victims drove away from the shooting scene and stopped where they were found on Main Street.  Police say all three victims are expected to survive.  No names were released.

Investigators say 28-year old Zachary Rankin-Lyle, of Winchester, was arrested and charged with Assault 1st Degree and Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree in connection to the shooting.

He was taken to the Clark County Detention Center.

Investigators are working to learn what led up to the shootings.

WINCHESTER, Ky. (WTVQ) – Winchester police are investigating after a shooting Friday afternoon in the downtown area near the Dairy Queen on East Washington Street.

According to officers, three people were shot and a vehicle was also hit. Investigators say one person has been arrested.  According to police, no names have been released as the investigation continues.
