Police investigating shooting in Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Lexington Police were called to the scene of a shooting Tuesday afternoon.

It happened just after 1:30 p.m. on Danielle Court.

According to Lexington Police, three people were in a car on Danielle Court when two men walked up and fired a gun at the car window.

One person in the car was hit by a bullet. The car then took off and stopped a short time later on Westgate Drive.

The victim was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries.

Police say the other two people in the car stayed at the scene and are talking to police.

Police are still searching for the two suspects.

There is no word yet on the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
