Police investigating link between serial killer and Kentucky
CHARLESTON, WV. (WTVQ) – Police in West Virginia say a woman shot and killed a man who was attacking her, and now investigators want to know if that man is tied to several missing persons cases and unsolved murders in dozens of states, including Kentucky.
Police say on July 18, Neal Falls was choking and beating an escort he met through an online site when she grabbed his gun and killed him. Investigators say they searched Falls’ car and found knives, handcuffs, axes, and a shovel. Police say they’ve since learned that authorities in 20 other states, including Kentucky, had stopped, interviewed or investigated Falls in the past.
Now law enforcement agencies are combing through unsolved cases to see if Falls could be a suspect.
