Police Investigate Two Stolen Vehicles, One Recovered, Another Still Missing

Overnight Lexington Police were involved in a brief pursuit after spotting a stolen vehicle.  Just before midnight, Police say they saw the stolen truck on Highland and Castlewood. That truck was reported stolen out of Versailles, Kentucky. Lexington Police say they tried to approach the suspect, but instead he sped off.  Officers say a few minutes later they found the two door Ford truck abandoned in the 200 block of East Loudon Avenue. They say the suspect fled on foot toward Idlewild Court. While Police investigated the scene, a resident flagged down officers on Idlewild to report that their car had also been stolen. That vehicle was a Toyota Avalon with Kentucky tags. Police say they are not yet ready to say these two incidents are linked. There is no word on where Police are in their search of the suspect.
