Police investigate shooting on Centre Parkway in Lexington

UPDATE: Lexington police have made an arrest in connection to Friday afternoon’s fatal shooting. Authorities say 36-year-old Erick Morgan was located shortly after the incident and taken into custody.

Morgan is now charged with murder, tampering with physical evidence, and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – Lexington Police are investigating a shooting that left one person critically injured Friday afternoon.

According to police, officers were dispatched around 2:50 p.m. to the 1100 block of Centre Parkway for reports of a shooting. When officers arrived, they found a man who had been shot.

The victim was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
