Police investigate back-to-back robberies in Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Police are looking into two early-morning robberies less than an hour apart in Lexington.

Police say in the first robbery, a woman was walking on Red Mile Road near Versailles Road when a PT Cruiser pulled up at around 2:30 A.M.

The victim says a man with a gun got out, grabbed her purse, got back into the vehicle and took off.

She was not injured.

Then, at around 3:20 a.m. a man says he was walking on Morgan Avenue when two men approached him, one with a bandanna covering his face and the other with a gun.

He says they took his phone, jacket and backpack.

The victim tells police the two ran off and jumped into a dark SUV.
