Police investigate overnight shooting in the Short Street and Mill Street area
LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – Authorities are currently investigating a shooting incident that occurred late last night in the area of Short and Mill Streets, leaving one woman injured.
According to the Lexington Police Department, officers responded to a call reporting shots fired just before 10:30 PM yesterday. Upon arrival at the scene, there was no immediate sign of a victim. However, later in the night, a patient arrived at a local hospital with a gunshot wound.
The injured woman is reported to have non-life-threatening injuries.
As of now, no suspect has been located by the authorities. The Lexington Police Department is urging anyone with information regarding the incident to come forward and assist in their ongoing investigation.
