Lexington Police investigate a bomb threat at a local Walmart

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — A Walmart in Lexington was evacuated Saturday evening after police responded to a reported bomb threat, authorities said.

The threat was reported around 7 p.m. at the Walmart on Nicholasville Road. Officers cleared the building and escorted customers and employees outside while the store was searched.

Police said no suspicious devices were found. The store later reopened.

The incident remains under investigation as possible terroristic threatening, according to Lexington police.
