Police: Father, daughter dead in apparent murder-suicide

VINE GROVE, Ky. (AP) — Kentucky State Police say an 11-year-old girl and her father have died after an apparent murder-suicide in Vine Grove.

Police told WAVE-TV (http://bit.ly/1crJFhO) emergency crews responded to a report of multiple gunshot victims Vine Grove shortly before 9 p.m. Monday.

When officers arrived they found the bodies of 49-year-old John Jonas and his daughter in the side yard of a home.

Crews from the Vine Grove Police and Fire Departments, Kentucky State Police, Hardin County EMS and the Hardin County Coroner’s Office are investigating the shooting.
